Tom Lenk slays, OK? In case you didn’t know, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum, 39, now hilariously recreates celebrity ensembles on Instagram.
For his new photo series called “Lenk Lewks for Less,” the actor and comedian — who played geeky villain Andrew Wells on the beloved teen drama — has transformed himself into a number of pop culture icons including Kristen Stewart and power couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
Instead of splurging on designer duds, Lenk (who appeared on a 2015 episode of Bones and on Lifetime’s now-canceled TV series Witches of East End) makes his Hollywood-inspired get-ups out of household items such as silverware, tape and garden hoses. Here, Us Weekly has rounded up the funnyman’s best “lewks” so far.
In his most recent post, Lenk sported his own version (above) of Stewart’s white, feathered Chanel mini-dress she recently wore to this year’s Cannes Film Festival. However, his economical version was made partially from mesh laundry bags and a non-slip rug pad.
Clearly a fan of K.Stew, Lenk donned another look directly inspired by the Café Society actress. “This 20 minute challenge was a cinch! Mascara on an old wig: $FREE from the wig box,” he hysterically captioned the pic. “Folded up T-shirt: $FREE from my top drawer. Polo shirt as a skirt: $FREE from the back of my closet.”
Lenk made Perry’s bold Met Gala 2016 look (originally Prada) his own simply by attaching two rolls of duct tape to his head and making a necklace out of the contents of his junk drawer. Werk!
Lenk slipped into a dress that mirrored Williams’ sleek, mimimalist Louis Vuitton number she wore to the Met Gala 2016. The main difference between her couture creation and his personal masterpiece? His was comprised of a: “Tank top: $Free from the dresser. Few pieces of tape: $Free from yesterday’s LEWK. Cut up sticky foam sheet: $Free from craft cart. Skirt (actually a neoprene abdominal fitness belt): $Free from the trunk of my car,” and of course, a “clutch by Tolstoy.”
Lenk copied Malik’s tuxedo-and-robo armor combination he wore to the Met Gala 2016 with assistance from his kitchenware collection. “Why go to the HAUS of GIVENCHY when you can just come to the kitchen at my HAUS and I’ll give you some tongs and a spatula,” he quipped.
In case you ever wanted to steal Knowles’ style from the Met Gala 2016, allow Lenk’s paper recreation of her David LaPort gown to inspire your inner fashionista.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West:
Lenk paid homage to the world’s most talked about couple by donning all denim and putting his arm around a tin-foiled mannequin. Practically identical, right?
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen:
Lenk did his best to channel the Olsen twins’ boho-chic aesthetic, but described his variant of their Met Gala 2016 outfits as “hobo.” “MORE HAUS OF LENK LEWKS FOR LESS. It’s like Ross Dress for Less, but like way less,” he wrote alongside the side-by-side snapshot. “Hobo vs. Boho. You decide.”
