Yesterday, the Women’s March in D.C. was in full effect with hundreds of thousands of people in attendance to protest. The March had a huge turnout, a portion of which was provided by celebrities who turned up to show their support for the cause. Several, such as Scarlett Johansson, Alicia Keys, and America Ferrara, gave speeches. Passions were high, as evidenced when Madonna took the stage and dropped a few F-bombs into her speech, forcing CNN to scramble in their broadcast to cover it up. You can watch a bleep-filled version of the speech below.

Madonna was just one of many of the people participating in the Women’s March, and the outspoken singer delivered a speech that was followed musical performance. Per Deadline, Madonna began her speech by going hard right out of the gate by saying that the election had made them “wake the fuck up.” She then went to promising attendees that they are “far from the end” and that “today marks the beginning of our story.” She urged the crowd to stand together and fight for their equality and that “no opposing force stands a chance in the face of true solidarity.” However, Madonna had some choice words for the detractors of the March who felt like the protest “wouldn’t amount to anything” as the singer put it. Mainly, that they could go eff themselves repeatedly.

And to our detractors that insist that this march will never add up to anything, fuck you. Fuck you!

This is when CNN had to cut off their broadcast of the speech due to all the cursing. “Ok,” said CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin. “We’re going to pull out of that because of some of the language used. It’s Madonna.”

“It’s Madonna” is all the explanation CNN needs but that’s just live television for you. Both CNN and MSNBC aired the speech, and let three F-bombs slip by before they had to call it quits and cut to something else. Obviously, CNN has since posted a bleeped version of the speech onto its YouTube channel, but Brooke Baldwin did issue an apology for CNN viewers who caught the F-bombs and may have been offended.

If you’re not the type to be offended by language, then here’s Madonna’s full un-edited speech, curse words and all!

After CNN cut away from speech, they held a panel discussion before again cutting back to see a quick snippet of Madonna’s musical performance, which assumedly was more news broadcast friendly.
