Dwayne Johnson has stepped up his activity as a producer in the last couple of years. He serves as executive producer of his HBO dramatic series Ballers, for example, as well as other television shows, including CNN’s Soundtracks: Songs That Defined History, which just debuted.
He’s also dived full-force into producing movies, such as Baywatch and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, both due out later this year. Recently we also heard officially that he would star in and produce Jungle Cruise, based on Disney’s classic theme park attraction. The aim is to begin production in spring 2018.
