Ikea is well known for its wit when it comes to campaigns. This time, its successful and mostly humorous campaign has been fueled by what can be called a slight fashion fail on the part of fashion house Balenciaga. We called it already a few months ago, when the label came up with some major it bag material that still so much reminded us of both Ikea and the rainbow bags used in Thailand.
This time, apparently not content with the similarities that were already quite striking, Balenciaga took it one step further and actually put on the market a bag that is an obvious reproduction of the ever famous Frakta bag you can get in Ikea to bring your stuff home.

Not only the looks of it are quite the same, but it also comes at the whopping price of $2,145. Quite a difference from the $0.99 that the original Ikea bag is sold for, and Ikea did not waste a minute to use it to its advantage with a certain degree of humor. What you can see on top of the page is the campaign Ikea has launched, complete with instructions on how to recognize and authentic Frakta bag. As usual, these guys know what they are doing.
Which version would you get?
