Ed Sheeran dropped by The Hits Radio studio this week to talk to presenter Tom Green. While he was there he dished the details on his upcoming cameo in the next series of Game of Thrones. Ed spoke about the first time he met Kit Harrington at a urinal and how star struck he was.
He went onto reveal his plans to work on a new film, which he calls ‘Eight Mile meets Notting Hill.’ Ed will create the soundtrack for the film, as well as help produce the flick.
He spoke about his most embarrassing fashion moment, which was a particularly hideous outfit he wore with Taylor Swift at Z100. Ed admitted the pair are always trying to work together, but their busy schedules often prevent them getting in the studio.
Finally, now he’s an international superstar Ed can be picky about the transport he uses. He refuses to fly EasyJet or Ryanair to Ibiza, despite using them to fly to Ireland or Amsterdam.
Ed on meeting Kit Harrington… “One star-struck moment. Taking a pee next to Kit Harrington before I knew him, obviously being a big ‘Game of Thrones’ fan.”
Ed on his appearance in Game of Thrones… “I just do a scene with Maisie. I sing a song and then she goes, oh, that’s a nice song.”
Ed on working on a new film… “I’m working on one film, I’m gonna do the soundtrack of and star in and essentially help put together. I wanted to do Eight Mile meets Notting Hill.”
Ed on flying with Easyjet… “I refuse to fly to Ibiza now on easyJet and Ryanair. I’ll fly to Ireland with them, I’ll fly to Amsterdam with them. EasyJet and Ryanair are great but that flight to Ibiza I can’t do.”
Ed on his worst fashion choice… “I was doing Z100 Ball and it was like the first press photo that me and Taylor had taken together. I’m wearing a bright green long-sleeved Hollister top and this skull and crossbones T-shirt this tattoo artists had given me. It’s the worst colour combination but because that picture was the first picture that we got together, it circulated everywhere.”
Ed on working with Taylor… “Eventually. We have spoken…There’s always been a plan to but I’ve just brought out an album. I believe she’s working on one. Yeah, we’re gonna.”
