With only 5 teams left and a Double U-Turn up ahead, leg 10 of The Amazing Race should be the fiercest one yet. Going into leg 10, the race is quite upside down. Frequent leaders Tyler and Korey are in first place and perpetual second place finishers Burnie and Ashley are still in second place. This is about the only thing that can be considered normal.
Leg 9 not only saw Sheri and Cole get their biggest lead yet with coming in third, but boring (yet consistent) Zach and Rachel were eliminated. The aforementioned Double U-Turn is granted to throw things even more out of whack, but here our best predictions for who is going home next on The Amazing Race.
Who is Safe:
I think it’s pretty safe to assume that Burnie and Ashley are in the clear. Even though they have a string of second-place finishes and probably are the most balanced of the teams, no one has viewed as a real threat. It’s always a possibility that a team like Tyler and Korey or Brodie and Kurt will wise up and use the U-Turn on them. However, it’s far more likely though that Burnie and Ashley will be the ones using the U-Turn.
Also, because of that Double U-Turn, it can be assumed that Sheri and Cole are safe. They’re not the strongest racers to be sure but they are good enough to stay ahead of whoever does get U-Turned. No one would waste the strategic move of the Double U-Turn a team like Sheri and Cole. It’s probable they will slip for the third place but not all the way so they are eliminated.
Who is In Danger:
Tyler and Korey should probably be watching their backs when it comes to the Double U-Turn. It’s highly likely that they will be one of the two teams that everyone else is going to target. They’re recently coming off a bad stretch of finishes but they are too good to be completely overlooked. If you don’t think someone like Dana is going to take the chance to easily eliminate the competition, you haven’t been watching this season of The Amazing Race.
Speaking of Dana though, it would be so far fetched to think her and partner Matt are safe. Dana and Matt are not what one would call good at The Amazing Race. Dana gets top marks in telling her partner and husband-to-be Matt that he is an utter moron but that’s about the only thing in which she excels. (I mean, I guess dancing too, but The Amazing Race has already exhausted dancing as valuable skill on the race.) Dana and Matt are constantly bickering with one another and are constantly at the end of the pack.
Dana and Matt are the type of couple that no one is going to target for the U-Turn. However, Dana and Matt are so terrible at this game that the team who is U-Turned could easily squeak ahead of them and they will be eliminated.
Who is Going Home:
While there is a chance Dana and Matt are in trouble, there is a bigger chance that Brodie and Kurt are in the real danger. It’s becoming very clear that the only reason that Brodie and Kurt have been so dominate in the race this season is because of Kurt. Brodie has his talents but they mostly involve screaming. Brodie and Kurt have now reached the point in the race where Brodie has to do all the Roadblocks. This could easily be their downfall.
The moment Brodie encounters something he can’t literally bust through, he starts to lose his mind. You need a level head to win The Amazing Race and Brodie doesn’t have one. (It’s actually unclear if Brodie’s head contains anything but hot air and an ugly beard.)
This is not even to mention the fact that Brodie and Kurt are probably going to be everyone’s pick to U-Turn. They might currently be in last place but they are more first place finishes than anyone else. If Brodie and Kurt remain close to last place everyone is going to take the chance to screw them over and I couldn’t be happy about it.
But what do you think? Who do you think is going home? Who do you want to go home?
