Former AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson is set to appear on a new record with Saturday Night Live comedian Jim Breuer.

The singer, who recently retired from the band amid fears of permanent hearing loss, will feature on Breuer’s debut album ‘Songs From The Garage’. He appears on the track ‘Mr Rock N Roll’, which you can hear below, and another as yet unnamed song.

“To me, Brian is the most powerful voice in rock & roll,” the comedian told Rolling Stone. “He is also the funniest and most generous man I have ever known. I am still in awe of how he recorded the song and forever thankful.”

Johnson recorded the tracks last year after Breuer played the frontman a number of songs and the singer asked to see the lyrics. They then went into the studio with just a mixing board and a microphone.

‘Songs From The Garage’, which former Anthrax guitarist Rob Caggiano produced, engineered and played guitar on, is due out on May 27.

AC/DC recently played their first gig with new frontman Axl Rose. He will continue performing with the band for the remainder of their ‘Rock Or Bust’ world tour. Johnson had been AC/DC’s frontman since 1980, joining the group following the death of previous singer Bon Scott.

AC/DC currently have live dates booked in for May and June, including two UK shows: London’s Olympic Stadium on June 4 and Manchester’s Etihad Stadium on June 9.

Rose will then rejoin Guns N’ Roses for their ‘Not In This Lifetime’ North American tour, which runs from June 23 to August 22.
