Luke Pell has plenty of admiration for Bachelorete star Rachel Lindsay, whom he believes has what it takes to find real love. The 32-year-old war veteran, who once fought for JoJo Fletcher on The Bachelorette season 12, also wouldn’t mind competing for the Dallas-based attorney.
“With her background, being a lawyer, I think she very well is going to be comfortable in that position — with a lot of people in a high-pressure situation,” Pell said of Lindsay. “I think she’s going to do great.”
“She’s going to be, probably, very analytical going through the process with her background, and I think it’ll be interesting to see her kind of navigate those waters,” he added.
Though Pell is single and ready to mingle, he’s not keen on handing out roses as The Bachelor.
Pell, however, isn’t closing his doors entirely, adding “Never say never.”
In case you didn’t know, Pell was offered to be the star of season 21 but the coveted position eventually went to Nick Viall.
“We did fittings with the stylists, contacted my sister to be on the show as a family adviser,” revealed Pell, who was blindsided by the network’s last minute decision to go with Viall. “It was just a lot to take the change. It happens. It was like, is this real life? I really canceled a lot of stuff, like three months of my life — which I got back while [they were] filming episodes that I was supposed to be in. You’re asked to do these life-changing things and to postpone a lot of your life, but then there’s no guarantee, there’s no signature until the day filming starts. It’s a tough position to be in.”
At present, Pell is focusing on his career as a country singer in Nashville and is quite selective when it comes to women.
“Dating is completely different after the show. It’s a lot more complicated and a lot more difficult than one might think,” Pell said.
Do you really think Pell would pursue Lindsay on The Bachelorette? Do you want him to?
